Joshua's Guide Dog

Rascal & Friends Are Helping Joshua Get His Service Dog!

Joshua was born with a rare disorder called Kabuki Syndrome. When Joshua was born on March 21st , 2001 ,there were only 150  diagnosed cases world wide. He has faced many obstacles in his young life but has been a real survivor. His spirit shines so bright! Joshua needs a service dog to detect when he is having a seizure, and get help. His service dog will serve other functions as well... such as provide Joshua with a greater sense of independence as he navigates his environment with greater safety.Joshua has hearing loss as well as vision issues. Autism Service dogs also help autistic kids with self esteem and keep them from fleeing into traffic and other dangerous situations. The dog will attend  school with Joshua and be a valued companion to him.

The cost of training a dog like this is $18,000.

You can read more about Joshua and kabuki syndrome  and all his needs and issues on his web site at http://www.myjoshua.piczo.com

You can help Joshua get his dog by participating in our Rascal Resell Fundraiser.

Bozsenna Nowiki, the author of the books has generously donated 100 books, with 100% of the proceeds going to the cause.

The Rascal Resell Fundraiser is easy and fun. It works like this, you purchase one of the books (100% of the proceeds goes to Josh out of the first 100 books), read and enjoy it, then resell it to a friend or family member, directing the payment to Josh's Guide Dog Fund.

It's that easy, and it only takes each book to be resold 18 times to meet the goal of $18,000!!!

Visit our web store to purchase books or make a resell payment.

For those of you who simply wish to make a random donation towards Joshua's dog and desire to not be restricted to a $10 donation you may click the resell  donation option or go to http://www.myjoshua.piczo.com/ to make a donation of any random amount.

Thanks for your support and generosity, and happy reading!
